April 2nd marks 100 days until the proclamation of the gospel via the festival in Central Park on July 11th! That’s 100 days of preparation, uniting, serving and praying! Momentum is rising and the team is busy orchestrating around 100 events between now and then! Let’s continue to “sound the alarm” at (Matthew) 9:38 am or pm for the harvest and lift up our team and our NYC Body of Christ! Let us begin each of these next 100 days at the foot of the cross. How appropriate that this is Holy Week! We humbly come before Him with a repentant and humble heart, knowing it’s His work and not ours for salvation of the lost, and renewal of this country! God use us, bless us and equip us to carry out your great (com)mission!
PRAISE:
Youth events “For This City,” were a success last month as Andrew Palau, Chris Durso and the band Jesus Culture ministered to youth in Queens, New Jersey & Manhattan with many accepting Jesus as their personal Savior and/or renewing their faith.
Nyack (College) Service Day. 10 locations all over the region hosted volunteers for service opportunities in homeless shelters, city parks & public schools. Some volunteers braved the cold weather to rake leaves and beautify Betsy Head, Claremont and other city parks. Others rolled up their sleeves and helped renovate community buildings in Bedstuy, Brownsville and Washington Heights. Together the people of God met the practical needs of their communities!
Fundraising dinner in NYC on March 30th- update from Kevin Palau; "We had an amazing fundraiser in Midtown Manhattan with 60 business leaders. Mark Burnett and Roma Downey came and shared some clips from their upcoming NBC mini-series ‘A.D.’ Dad shared the vision for NY City Serve and City Fest. There was a sense of joy and vision and a very encouraging response to the financial appeal!”
Luis spoke and shared the Gospel at a dinner for UN Ambassadors on March 31.
NBC is working with us and we will have spots on many key shows (Jimmy Fallon, Ellen, "A.D.", etc)! We've secured an ad package with NBC in conjunction with AD for June.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
• Ask that those who have made decisions for Christ this past month will find strong Christian churches and believers who will help them grow in their new found faith!
• Pray for the planning & logistics for all events coming up:
o That doors for hosting events will open, leaders will rise up and that people in the community will hear, come and meet Jesus!
o That local churches will take ownership and help build excitement among the people of God!
o God’s wisdom for our local staff, additional staff being hired and for Robyn Bomar who is overseeing our volunteers.
o Continued discussions and finalization of details with the Parks Department regarding all public venues.
o Finalizing of all the musicians who will participate in the various events.
o Volunteer counselor training plans to come together (for those who will be on hand to speak one-on-one to those seeking Jesus at each event.)
o Upcoming NJ outreaches in Elizabeth, Bergen, Clinton, Ocean Grove, Paterson.
o Staten Island as dozens of churches join hands to reach zip codes in the most troubled neighborhoods, preparing for four NEW LIFE 4SI outreaches.
• Lift up our PR campaign and opportunities:
o Ask God to cover all PR opportunities with His hand of favor. Drawing people, not only to the upcoming events, but to Jesus.
o Interviews this week, for Luis and Kevin Palau with Telemundo, New York Times and Fox News Radio.
o Lift up all media and advertising details in preparation for the big publicity “kick off” in May.
• Ask God to provide the office space needed on the ground in NYC.
• Ask for anointing over Luis and Andrew Palau as they prep and plan messages for various enrichment & outreach opportunities this month (view the prayer calendar for specific dates!)
• Pray the Lord continues to provide the funds necessary for ministry to take place throughout the Tri-State area.

Looking Ahead
May
• Impact Connecticut (May 1-2)- Kevin Palau will join 100’s of CT pastors as they meet together to celebrate what God is doing and what He wants to do in CT!
• Concert with Chris White at Central Park Band Shell (May 3rd).
• National Day of Prayer (May 7th)- There will be special events in various boroughs. Pray specifically for the Westchester and LPA’s presence there.
• May’s Mother’s Day outreach with Wendy & Andrew Palau (May 9th)- Ask God to provide the perfect venue and to bring women who need encouragement this Mother’s Day.
• Pray for Luis as he speaks at a UN luncheon (May 12th)- Ask God to pour His favor on this time.
June
• Pre Festival Flushing Meadows, Queens (June 5th)- with Andrew Palau
• Convoy of Hope & Regional Festivals in Long Island, Brooklyn, Bronx (June 6th) Pray for all those working hard to prepare for these large scale outreach events!
• Another effort in Long Island for June 13
• A children’s parade through Manhattan is set for June 20
• An evangelistic festival in Elizabeth, New Jersey is moving forward for June 27
