SO MUCH BETTER THAN ALONE!
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor (Ecclesiastes 4:9).
What joy to partner with the Palau Association in prayer! God is at work in so many wonderful ways! Palau the Movie came out in early April, and now Luis’ new book “A Life On Fire” is available! I just finished reading it and I highly recommend it! It’s focused on key people in his life, the foundational lessons those relationships taught him (and can teach us), as well as biblical principles for living out the Good News.
In Luis’ book, Chapter 8 is about the team that’s stood with him during all these years of ministry. That includes you! He quotes an African proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together.”
Here are some points Luis shares that we can take to heart as part of his team:
No one has all the gifts of the body of Christ.
We need each other desperately . . . staff and team are different. With a team, the investment is high, personal, and often lifelong.
This team is here because they want millions to hear the Gospel. They want nations to be blessed and the Church to be made strong.
We can revive God’s people by teaching them the principles of victorious Christian living, of overcoming, of living consistently with God’s will for their own good and the good of their neighborhood and nation.
We should all be servants of Christ, of the Church, and of the lost whom Jesus would go to any lengths to bring to Himself. We should exist for the benefit of others.
God wants us to have genuine love for all people.
All of us should stay humble and not dwell on our own interests.
We can look forward to Jesus returning!
If we spend time with God, the rest (the love, the vision, the faith, the humility) will come. It’s when we spend time in God’s presence, and walk in our freedom in Christ, that we glow. Nothing can replace it. In His light, all darkness flees.
In the new book, Luis shares that his team and supporters have prayed sacrificially and with power over the more than 50 years of ministry. “Spiritual warfare is real,” he writes. “Team members engage in the prayer and resistance of spiritual warfare throughout every phase of an evangelistic campaign. In God’s army, nobody is a nobody. Everybody is a somebody. The Lord opened massive doors swinging on the hinges of regular people. A nudge from the Spirit through a willing person can become an avalanche of abundant grace.”
What a blessing to know that not only are we on Luis’ team, on his national women’s prayer team (NWPT), but more importantly, God’s team! Our prayers matter and make a difference. That grace flows through us as the Holy Spirit uses us for His glory! Thank you for your ongoing prayer support for Luis, Andrew, Kevin and the team. Please open the below reports to know how to pray in more detail.
These are important days. Luis, Andrew, and the team are on their way to Madrid soon and needs our prayer support! Go team!
Better together in prayer,
