Greetings to our MANHATTAN Prayer Warriors,

"GOOD NEWS IN THE CITY!" 

Thank you for "standing in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30) on behalf of the Luis Palau Campaign in NYC and Kevin Palau, director of the MANHATTAN City/Serve/Festival Teams.  
          The battle is on and victory belongs to Him!

Do not give up and remember to "sound the trumpet," set your alarms for 9:38 to "Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field."  Matthew 9:38

The leadership committee will declare a daily fast to cover each region beginning in May. (Saturdays for our Manhattan Prayer Team).   Details to follow:  
"I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask Him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions...So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and He answered our prayers."  Ezra 9:21,23

If you missed the monthly prayer call last Tuesday, here is a review of our praise and prayer requests.  Also, I included a little history/devotional about the "Great Awakening" of the 1730's.  May it be an encouragement to all of us preparing the way for the King of glory to come in to Central Park on July 11th, on the "Great Lawn!"

Tonight there were a few more "special requests," as you continue to "join in agreement" in praying for revival in NYC and our Nation!  The mighty harvest is on the way!  

"On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver is, as you help us by your prayers.  Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many."  2 Corinthians 1:10-11

"Let's continue to storm heavens doors for NYC.  Don't let up, don't lose heart.  Victory will be the Lord's as this is His plan, not ours.  We are only stewards of this moment to see a waive of blessing and transformation all over the Tri-State area." Tim Innes (Campaign Director/NY CityServe/CityFest)

Pray today for:

1.Women's Team (Wendy Palau and her sister, Amanda) planning for a June 1st dinner/outreach.  Pray that the women would get excited...really fired up to reach lost women in their city!  And, that the women will step up and take leadership positions to make this event powerful and effective.  As Wendy has said, "Time and time again, I have seen God put us together with people at a perfect time for them and for us!"

2.  Business Event: June 9-again pray for table hosts and all details.

3.  Publicity for all events and clear messages across the board.

4.  Thousands of believers to stand up and be counted-training for counselors being set for May and June in every region.

7.  Key links with Media and "God (good) stories" to bring overall impact to the vision.

8.  All the staff working on NY directly.  It's 85 days till July 11th and it is like there is a crusade every week.  They need strength, stamina, joy, focus and most of all to be spirit-filled and led.

9.  Luis, Kevin, Andrew, Wendy as they each pour their gifts into God's plan!

"See, the Lord Your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as the Lord, the God of your fathers, told you.  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.  Deuteronomy 1:21

"Then I said to you, 'Do not be terrified; do not be afraid of them.  The Lord your God who is going before you, will fight for you, as He did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, and in the desert.  There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.'" Deuteronomy 1:29

"Then this city (NYC) will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it."  Jeremiah 33:9

"The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will fulfill the gracious promise I made to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah."  Jeremiah 33:14

"Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear had perceived, no eye has seen any God besides You, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him."  Isaiah 64:4

From Nancy Leigh DeMoss' devotional that says, "During the Great Awakening of the 1730's, the Spirit of God moved in our Nation…”

There was such a hunger for the Word of God that about 20,000 people showed up to hear George Whitfield preach in Boston...and that was when Boston had a population of only 12,000.  People travelled from miles around to "repent" and seek God.  If you were to take the percentage of people who responded to the First Great Awakening and apply it to today's population, the figures would be staggering.  For example, Chicago has a population of over 9 million. If God were to move today in a way similar to the way He did in the 1730's, over 14 million people would show up in Chicago to hear the Gospel.  (I wonder what the number would be in NYC, with a population of 8.4 million! )?
The First Great Awakening brought a dramatic change in the social, moral and spiritual climate of the day.  And, God could do it again in our day! "
God can do it again in NYC in July! 

Dear Heavenly Father,
As one of our directors in NYC, Tim Innes, has said, "The army of God in NYC is preparing for this great battle of souls.  We are into the final 90 days and many outreaches now ahead.  These outreaches are stones in the preparations that will make a huge impact in NYC.  Our team in NYC and the tri-state area are working hard, he said, and there are no exceptions."
We are seeing the fruit of their labor, as we continue to present our praise reports and prayer requests to You, O Lord!

Praise Report from Kevin Palau:

We praise You, Lord, that over Easter weekend the 5 Easter Egg hunt groups of churches put on in MANHATTAN, the Bronx and NJ drew more than 11,000 folks, and for the many hearing the Good News and being invited to church.

We thank You, JESUS, for the answer to prayer on behalf of the "Right to Gather" (and worship in NYC's public schools) for the Supreme Court's decision.  Mayor Di Blasio is now willing to write up a document NOT to evict the CHURCHES from meeting in public schools!  

We Praise You, Lord, also for the opportunities 2 weeks ago for Luis to share the Good News with 140 ambassadors and diplomats @ UN!  

Also, for the 1,100 radio partners signed up to help with NY CityFest.
And, for the great gathering of Spanish speaking Pastors and leaders this past week.  

We thank You, Lord, for more than 17k people now connected to NYC on social media in both English and Spanish!

We praise You and thank You, Lord, for Kevin Palau's book that is at the printer's now and ask You to bless and establish the work of His hands for Your glory and honor!

Also, we pray for the Catholic Business Dinner on April 21st with Luis Palau.  

Deuteronomy 9: 1,3 says, "Hear, O Israel,: You are about to cross the Jordan to go in and dispossess nations greater and stronger than you, with large cities that have walls up to the sky.  But be assured today (On July 11, 2015) that the Lord your God is the One who goes across ahead of you."

"Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give them.  Joshua told the people, ' Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.'" Joshua 3:5

Bless all events, Lord, and may the fire of the Holy Spirit  be on all who are working tirelessly, tilling the soil; rejuvenate Your People.    May all activities hit the mark.  Let Your glory fall, pour out Your Spirit and prepare hearts and souls to come in and we pray for the harvest to be great!

Joshua 6:20-21 says, "When the trumpet sounded, the people shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet...the wall collapsed...and they took the city (July 11, 2015).  They devoted (New York)   city to the Lord."

Greetings Praying Friends in the Southeast,

God’s Word says,

"I looked for a man who would build up the wall and stand before Me in the gap on behalf of the land."  Ezekiel 22:30

Thank you for standing before Jesus, in the gap, on behalf of the people of Manhattan and the Palau team working alongside them to spread Good News in The City!

Praises:
1. Thank God for the provisionary approval for Central Park JULY 11, 2015!
2. Praise God for a WONDERFUL weekend of youth events in Queens, Manhattan & New Jersey. Saturday, 3/14, over 1000 youth gathered in Manhattan to lift up the name of Jesus and to be challenged by what His love & grace can empower them to do for His Kingdom!
3. Praise for 10 Manhattan Churches that were able to participate in the Chinese New Year's Parade on Feb. 22nd. This opportunity allowed them to hand out thousands of tracts and let the community know they are there for them.

Prayer Points from Kevin Palau, our Manhattan area coordinator:
1.   Pray for the final logistics in process to lock in Central Park JULY 11, 2015. Pray for favor with the Production Teams and Park Department as these details are worked out.
2.   Prayer over all logistical details for the main festival as well as the multiple mini festivals & service projects taking place.
3.   Pray for unity among area churches, pastors and believers as they seek to make an impact for the Kingdom.
4.  Ask God to provide for the "Right to Gather" as the people of NY wait on the NY Supreme Court's decision regarding the right for churches to meet in public school rooms for worship.
5.   May God grant Creativity for the Advertising/PR campaign and provide favor with the Media.
6.   Ask God for wisdom for Kevin Palau as director for Manhattan.
7.    Lift up the Latino Team mobilizing.
8.  March 28 is Nyack College Service Day, pray for reach of the 10-12 sites around the city where teams of believers are gathering to bless their communities by meeting practical needs.
9.  Ask for God’s favor over the fundraising dinner, taking place in Manhattan, with Luis Palau, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey on March 30th.

"O Lord, God of heaven,"

We are Your watchmen on the wall, standing in the gap on behalf of Manhattan today and we continue to "pray in the Spirit, as Your Word says, "on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." Ephesians 6:18

After decades of faithfully following Jesus, Martyn Lloyd Jones concluded that "Everything we do in the Christian life is easier than prayer."  We know, Lord, there is a spiritual battle taking place and the enemy wants to keep us from interceding. We see in Your Word, Lord, that when JESUS faced the most intense spiritual battle of His existence in the Garden of Gethsemane, He was busy praying. We pray we would be like JESUS...busy praying.   

As Hebrews 4:16 declares : 
"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

We lift up Kevin Palau to You, representing MANHATTAN, and pray Your redemptive Word over him. May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon Kevin and his leadership team.  Establish the work of (their) hands in this great borough and teach Kevin to number his days aright, that he may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12,17) 

Spread Your protection over Your servants and Central Park, the Production Teams, the  advertising campaign and the Media, that those who love Your Name may rejoice in You.  For surely, O Lord, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield.  (Psalm 5:11-12)

We thank You for the National Prayer Team interceding on behalf of NYC and the glorious harvest on the way. We know no plan of Yours can be thwarted. He who calls you, Kevin, is faithful, and He will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:24)

Father God, as the proclamation of the Gospel in Central Park is 4 months from tomorrow, Your Word declares 'The Lord will indeed give what is good, and (NYC) will yield its harvest. Righteousness goes before Him, and prepares the way for His steps.'  (Psalms 85:12-13)

We praise you for the events this past weekend, For This City! One generation will commend Your works to another; they will tell of Your mighty acts. (Psalm 145:4)

Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.  Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as we see the Day approaching."   

Lord God, we know Matthew 18:19 says, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done by My Father in heaven."  We join in agreement over all these requests this afternoon: Ask of Me, Luis and the LPA Campaign in NYC and the tri-state area, and I will make the Nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. (Psalm 2:8).

In Jesus Christ's Name we pray.  Amen.

February Update

Dear MANHATTAN Prayer Warriors,

God's Word says: "Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."  Jeremiah 33:3

He is certainly doing that as you "stand in the gap" for Manhattan.

Thank you for your faithfulness to be "watchmen on the wall...who call on the Lord."  Isaiah 62:6

It is happening, we are on the brink of revival, but we must continue to intercede for our brothers and sisters in NYC "rebuilding the walls," fulfilling God's redemptive plan.  There is a spiritual battle taking place and we are taking up the "shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."  Ephesians 6:16

We can't do this without your prayer coverage, and so we thank each and every one of our dear prayer partners for remaining "Joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer."  Romans 12:12

Beth Moore wrote on her blog earlier this month a powerful message.  Here is part of her inspirational message, which is for all of us, for "such a time as this!"

We've got to pray. We've got to become people of prayer. We've got to press in much further and believe God to be much bigger. We've got to cease letting prayer be our weakest spiritual discipline. We've got to step up and wield the sword of the spirit in relentless intercession.  We've got to go further than we've gone before. Press harder. Dig our knees deeper. We will not live bolder than we pray. There are parts of our callings, works of the Holy Spirit, and defeats of the darkness that will come no other way than furious, fervent, faith filled prayer.

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."  Hebrews 11:8

May God reward You for your earnest prayers on behalf of MANHATTAN!

STANDING IN THE GAP FOR MANHATTAN
Ezekiel 22:30 says, I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before Me in the gap on behalf of the land."  

Lord, here we are, Your NWPT standing before You in the gap on behalf of MANHATTAN!  We are on the wall praying for You to rebuild, "restore the years the locust have eaten;" (Joel 2:25) to bring revival to NYC and the Nation using Luis Palau and the NYCity/ Serve Teams as instruments of Your grace!

Heavenly Father,
As we have been praying and preparing the way for the King of glory to enter the gates of NYC, we enter Your gates today "with praise and give thanks to Him and praise His Name."  Psalm 100:4 

We thank You for securing Central Park on July 11th for the proclamation of the Gospel and for the favor of God with the Park Commissioner.  Lord, Kevin asks we continue to pray for You to reveal other areas/venues to proclaim the Good News in Central Park.  Even now, Lord, we pray for favorable weather and angelic host protection over all venues and areas as Your Word declares:
                                
"The Lord watches over you, the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.  The Lord will keep you from all harm-He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over Your coming and going both now and forevermore." 

As we continue to lift up the Re New conferences, we praise you, Father, for those who want to meet with You and we pray the glory of the Lord will fill the Brooklyn Tabernacle just as when "Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled upon it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle." Exodus 40:35

We pray against any retribution or retaliation of the enemy over this historic event  because as Your Word declares, "the Lord thunders at the head of His army; His forces are beyond number, and mighty are those who obey His command."  Joel 2:11

We praise You and thank You for Rev. Jody Wood and the NYC Intercessors tilling the ground in advance, and for their strategic prayer coverage going forward. Lord, may you "bless them indeed and enlarge their territory." (1 Chronicles 4:10)  We pray "for the joy of the Lord to be their strength" (Nehemiah 8:10) as they stand in the gap for the land. Give them every place where they set their feet, as You promised Moses in Joshua 1:3.

Father, Kevin also asked we pray for doors to open that they have not planned, but that are on Your agenda, and for open doors in any and every denominational gatherings of pastors and leaders over the next 3-4 months.

And, Lord, we pray also for provision of office space. As Jesus mentions in Matthew 18:19-20 the two ingredients that empower our prayers are agreement and togetherness, so we "join in agreement" over these requests today knowing Your Word says, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done by My Father in heaven.  For where two or three come together in My Name, there I am with them." 

And, so we pray for doors to open in the physical and spiritual realms.  Rev. 3:8 says, " I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.  I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not not denied My Name." 

We praise You for the answer to prayer for the right PR agency that was hired and now we pray as "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth," (Genesis 1:1), You will call forth great creativity both in the Latino and Anglo communities from the children to the adults that would draw them to the various events.  We pray for Your mantle of anointing over this PR agency, for dreams and visions by the Holy Spirit birthing new ideas and for those who are not believers "to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light." Acts 26:18 "Let salvation spring up; let righteousness grow with it."  Isaiah 45:8

Lord, this is a busy week for our Teams in NYC and so we pray for stamina, supernatural strength and energy as the momentum is picking up and we are 5 months away from the harvest. Keep them and us humble, Lord as we come on our knees praying for a mighty harvest!

"The Lord your God will bless you  in all your harvest and your joy will be complete."  Deuteronomy 16:15

And, Father of all Comfort, we mourn over the loss of Dr. A.R. Bernard's beloved son this past week, as well as our our State prayer rep for SC, Annette Graham, in the loss of her 17 month old grandson!  We pray Isaiah 61:2-3, "Comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion-bestow a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor."  

May NYC be a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor!

For it is in the Mighty Name of Jesus we all pray.  Amen.

January Update

At the dawn of this New Year:  PREPARE to be "utterly amazed!" 

Habakkuk 1:5 says, 
"Look at the nations and watch-and be utterly amazed.  For I am going to do something in your days (in NYC) that you would not believe, even if you were told."  

"The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land (NYC) will yield its HARVEST.  Righteousness goes before Him and PREPARES THE WAY for His steps."  Psalm 85:12-13

Heavenly Father,
We stand in the gap on behalf of Manhattan,  a city of 1.7 million people, and pray for the Luis Palau CityServe outreach in each of the ten regions that "You would bless them and enlarge their territory!  Let your hand be with (them) and keep (them) from harm."  (1Chronicles 4:10) As they come together in unity to serve their City and boldly plan to share the Good News,  
we claim each region by name for Your glory to be revealed in:  

Washington  Heights, Harlem (Central and East), Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Midtown East, Midtown West/Chelsea,  Lower East Side, Union Square, Chinatown and Downtown.

Lord, we pray for more and more churches to catch the vision You have given to Luis and the NYC campaign; to join in, to pray together, to love each other and find ways to serve.  We pray what You prayed in John 17:23:  "May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them."  

Lord, as we continue to pray with "all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints " (Luis, Andrew, Kevin and their teams), we pray that You would open a door for them to see the Mayor of Bridgeport, CT and also to set up an appointment with a key business leader this month:

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him and He will do this.  He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn; the justice of your cause like the noonday sun."  Psalm 37:4-6

"Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it."  Jeremiah 33:9

"O, Lord, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant of love with those who love Him and obey His commands, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant(s) are praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel" (NYC).  Nehemiah 1:5-6

December Update

This month, join me in praying for protection over our LPA workers and around the plans God has for NYC and beyond.

Holy Spirit,
We sincerely receive You as our Counselor, our Comforter, our Strength and our Guide.  Thank You for sealing us and the Luis Palau NY CityServe Teams in Christ.  We know You as our Lord, and ask You to lead them and the National Prayer Team into all truth, to anoint them and lead us all deeper into Jesus today.  We fully open our lives to You in every dimension and aspect—our body, our soul, and our spirit—choosing to be filled with You, to walk in step with You in all things.  Fill the Luis Palau Ministry and their teams afresh, blessed Holy Spirit.  We receive You with thanks and give You total claim in our lives.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for granting to us every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus.  We receive those blessings into our lives today, and ask the Holy Spirit to bring those blessings into the Luis Palau NY CityServe teams on behalf of NYC, all five boroughs as well as Long Island, New Jersey, Westchester County and Connecticut.

We put on Your armor and pray for the armor of God to cover the entire Luis Palau NY CityServe Campaign and all their endeavors to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to NYC and the outlying areas.  According to Ephesians 6, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the readiness of the gospel of peace, the helmet of salvation. "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground."  We take up the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, and we wield these weapons against the Evil One in the power of God.  We choose to pray at all times in the Spirit, to be strong in You, Lord and in Your might. We "pray also for Luis and Andrew, that whenever they open their mouths, words may be given them so that they will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel."      Ephesians 6:19

Father, we thank You for Your angels.  We summon them to war for the The Luis Palau Campaign and their households.  They dwell in Your shadow so no evil shall befall them, no accident shall overtake them, and no plague shall come near their homes. You command Your angels to their side, guarding them, the LPA, their families and homes in all their ways (Psalm 91). Your angels encamp around them and deliver them in every circumstance. Joel 2:11 says, "His forces are beyond number, and mighty are those who obey His command."  

We thank You, Lord, for the National Prayer Team and for posting "watchmen on the wall who will never be silent day or night, who call on the Lord" (Isaiah 62:6) standing in the gap, praying for NYC and the Nation!  We ask You to send forth Your Spirit and rouse our National Prayer Team, unite them, raising up the full canopy of prayer and intercession on behalf of the Luis Palau NYC Campaign.  

We call forth the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ and pray that the authority of the Ancient of Days, the King of Glory may come in (Psalm 24:7-10) and enter the Gates of NYC and that the nations of the earth would be blessed (Genesis 22:17-18). 

Isaiah 1:26 says, "Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful (New York) City."  

In the Name of Jesus Christ, the King of Glory we pray. Amen.

November Update

"If you have any encouragement from being United in Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose." Philippians 2:2

• Kevin Palau is meeting with Union Theological Seminary.  Pray for relationship building.
• Kevin has a key meeting with Rabbi Potasnik from the Board of NYC rabbis.  This is the first connection with the Jewish (non-Messianic) population.  Pray for favor as Kevin communicates the vision and seeks common ground with them regarding NY CityServe.
• Meeting with potential donors and their investments in NYC.
• Pastoral meetings with Downtown group.  Pray that God will unite hearts and give them vision to love and serve their neighborhoods together.
• Pastoral meetings with Midtown West group.  Again, pray for unity and vision as they live and serve together.
• Pastoral conference call with Midtown East pastors.  There is little traction so far with this group, but three pastors have stepped into being willing to meet over the phone and talk and pray together.  
• Pastoral leadership meeting with three Upper West side pastors.  Pray that God would really give them a passion to spearhead CityServe & CityFest efforts in their neighborhood.
• Praise God for the first Anglo/Hispanic joint pastoral meeting in Washington Heights.  There is a lot of energy and passion for outreach and to have Luis play a role in possible mini-festival in WA Heights next year.  These Pastors are collaborating Nov. 22nd to help feed 800 for Thanksgiving in their neighborhood.
• Pray for Kevin personally, for the Holy Spirit to lead him, sustain him, and keep him healthy.  Pray for His family at home without him!
• Praise God that NBC is going to air "AD" the next Bible  project by Mark Burnett on Sunday nights from Easter to Father's Day, perfect timing for CityServe/CityFest.
• Pray that leaders would emerge to lead each Region well and for wisdom on the dozens of possibilities of outreach in Manhattan alone!  "The Lord gives wisdom and from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.  He guards the course of the just and protects the way of His faithful ones."  Proverbs 2:6-8

October Update

Praise: We thank You for Rev. Jody Wood and the NYC Intercessors that have gone before us 
in "preparing the way" for the King of Glory to enter the gates of NYC, to bring revival to our 
land as You did back in 1857 through Jeremiah Lamphier in Manhattan. We pray You would do it again in our day and re-dig the wells of revival. 

Father, we know from Your Word that Nehemiah prayed for the rebuilding of the walls in 
Jerusalem to accomplish Your purpose. We pray You do the same in NYC uniting the Body of 
Christ from every nation and culture, every economic level, ever community and borough of 
NYC. We pray for the lost, the broken, the poor; those who are helpless and dying. You have 
willed that people will not die in their sins but be saved and redeemed through Your Son, Jesus Christ. May You be pleased to use NY CityServe & CityFest as an instrument of Your grace to share Your love, the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples. 

There is no greater prayer for the lost than the one Jesus prayed in John 17:24. Father, I want 
those You have given Me to be where I am, and to see My glory, the glory You have given Me 
before the creation of the world. Make Your Name glorious through our Nation once again and the Nations of the world. 

Pray on behalf of the 12 regional pastor groups that are forming in Manhattan, we pray 
You would divinely place the right leaders for each region. 

Pray that churches would continue to join in a unified effort to start "spreading the 
news." May the favor of The Lord our God rest upon Kevin and the Luis Palau staff and 
these pastor groups that are forming.

We pray for continued favor with Mayor De Blasio and for "favor with God and man" on 
behalf of the professional athletes in New York who love Jesus, that they would join with 
this movement. 

We thank You, Lord that Luis and Kevin will be speaking at Movement Day on October 
23. We pray Ephesians 6:19 for them that “whenever they open their mouths, words may 
be given so that they will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel." 

We pray for the venue and date, and the Lord’s guidance as to whether a one-day event 
on July 11 at Central Park is appropriate or a two-day event on June 21-22 at Flushing 
Meadows is.

September Update

Dear Prayer Warriors,

It is my prayer that you have had a wonderful summer filled with rest, refreshment, and time with family. It’s been a busy season for the Palau team, with festivals in both Alaska and Jamaica. We’ve also been building our prayer team, and are so grateful you have joined us! God is amazing and He is at work in and through us! As we pray, our faith grows.  

“I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

As we pray and grow in faith this autumn, let's keep NY CityServe & CityFest in our prayers, and watch as God moves mountains!

PRAISE

Nearly 5,000 people came together for a youth outreach in Long Island on August 20. Praise and worship events have taken place over the last 4 years, but this was the first time the Gospel was proclaimed and people were asked to make a decision for Christ. Trained counselors were hardworking, and full of faith and wisdom as they prayed with those who made decisions for Christ. We rejoice in these new lives changed for eternity!

September 23

The official NY CityServe launch is taking place at Calvary Baptist the morning of September 23rd.  Lord willing, we are praying for a full house with a minimum of 600 churches, pastors, and leaders in attendance. The first local fundraising event is also taking place that evening.  Please pray for all tables to be hosted and filled with the right business leaders and also for a great response.

• Favor for the Palau team and church relations team as we mobilize people for NY CityServe.
• LPA staff who have moved to NYC.
• Three strong candidates for admin positions.
• For strong communication between our Latin and English speaking teams.
• Protection for every member of the team working on this campaign.
